If you saw my post on Sunday for Texas Roadhouse Rolls, you should be pretty excited that this is the second half of the recipe: Texas Roadhouse Butter! No warm roll is complete without slathering some kind of butter on it, and this butter is pretty darn delicious because it’s a cross between honey butter, and cinnamon butter. The best of both worlds I say!
I am basically addicted to bread and butter. Don’t tell anybody, but when my husband and I first got married, we went on a cruise to the Caribbean for our honeymoon. I seriously ate like 4 pats (tablespoons) of butter with bread for each meal, which might be one of the reasons why I gained 25lbs in the first 6 months of marriage. YIKES! So be wise, eat responsibly!
Besides The Blossom, the food at Texas Roadhouse just isn’t my style, but I would gladly eat a plate of their warm rolls and butter. And if you are like me you wonder, “Why go to the restaurant if you can make it at home?” That’s why I love copycat recipes! You can make a lot and stuff your face to your hearts content, within reason. Enjoy!
Copycat Texas Roadhouse Butter
Ingredients
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp honey
- 1/2 to 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp salt
Instructions
- Using the whisk attachment of a stand mixer or a hand-held electric mixer, beat all the ingredients until combined. *I used the full teaspoon of cinnamon, but if you want you can go lighter and only do half.
- Place butter in a dish and spread onto warm rolls with a knife or spatula. Store at room temperature or in the fridge as desired.

I work at texas roadhouse as a baker and I must say your pretty close with this recipe. The actual recipe we use is just honey, butter, and cinnamon. The biggest difference though is that we actually whip it in a mixer on high speed for a long time so its super light and easy to spread.
Thanks Joseph! I assume the restaurants use salted butter though. I like to use unsalted and add the amount of salt I like, which is why this is slightly different. Glad to hear it’s pretty much the same though! That was the goal! 🙂
Amber – I’m addicted to butter! I don’t even need the rolls, I just looooooooooove butter
You combined the butter with my 2nd addiction – cinnamon
So I’m heading now to the kitchen and making this heavenly butter NOW
