Crockpot Little Smokies is an easy appetizer for parties, the big game, or holidays. Only three ingredients and a slow cooker is all you need for these cocktail sausages. The sweet and tangy sauce is great on meatballs too!
Little smokies are so easy to turn into a delicious appetizer for any party, like the big game or New Year’s Eve. We really love these Bacon Wrapped Mini Sausages with Brown Sugar, but these Crockpot Little Smokies take less prep and are just as tasty.
Crockpot Little Smokies
There are only three ingredients for these Crockpot Little Smokies: chili sauce, grape jelly, and little smokies, of course. The sweet and tangy sauce goes well with frozen meatballs too!
These cocktail sausages cook up in as little as 2 hours on high, or 4 hours on low. I recommend cooking these crockpot little smokies on low so they soak up as much of the flavor from the sauce as possible. If you wait until the cocktail sausages plump up a little bit, you’re golden!
Then all you need are some toothpicks and plates for your guests. This meaty appetizer is hearty, delicious, and sure to get gobbled up at your next get together!

How much jelly and chili sauce would I use if I wanted to combine the franks with the meatballs and cook in same crockpot?
I would double the sauce.
Does it matter on the size of the crock pot? I think I have a 4-5 quart crockpot. What did you use??
The one I have pictured is a small, 1.5 quart crock pot. Your crock pot would definitely work, it just won’t be as full and will cook faster.
Can the leftover little smokies befoxen?
I meant frozen🤪
I’ve never frozen them, but we’ll warm them up for breakfast with eggs and hashbrowns.
Hi there, I am curious if you could a bit more detail on what “chili sauce” is? There are just so many types of chili’s and sauces I just want to be sure to use the right kind. Thank you.
Hi Alisha, I typically use Heinz Chili Sauce, but there are other brands that may be cheaper. It’s basically a red tomato based sauce with onion, spices, and chili pepper flakes. I find it in the aisle with the ketchup/bbq sauces. Hope this helps!
