Today’s the day! The day when America will (hopefully) take back the World Record for the world’s longest barbecue marathon. I mean, come on! What’s more AMERICAN than munching on a hot dog while watching the ball game? We need to win that world record back!
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the longest marathon BBQ lasted 30 hours. Ball Park has taken it upon themselves to bring the record back home where it belongs — America! Ball Park Park’s Finest and selected grill masters will host and live-stream “The Finest Grillathon” in New York City TODAY! Watch it LIVE!
I’m so excited about today’s potentially world breaking record, that I created a few “gourmet” hot dog creations to inspire you to have your own grilling party at home while you watch Ball Park Park’s Finest Grillathon! First things first. You can’t have a “gourmet” hot dog without a using a premium hot dog. Have you tried Ball Park Park’s Finest Hot Dogs? If not, get to the store ASAP! These are ridiculously flavorful hot dogs.
Made with 100% beef, premium seasoning you can see, 0% artificial preservatives, NO artificial flavors, colors, or fillers and NO nitrates or nitrites, you know Ball Park Park’s Finest Hot Dogs are going to be good! There are 5 varieties to choose from, and you just can’t go wrong! We’ve tried 2 of the 5 and are ready to buy the other 3! I cannot say enough good things, and I’m picky with my hot dogs! Now let me share with you my gourmet hot dog creations…
Mexican Hot Dog
If you like fresh guacamole (2 mashed avocados, 1 1/2 Tbsp lime juice, and salt to taste) and pico de gallo (2 tomatoes seeds removed and diced, 1/2 onion diced, 1/4+ cup chopped cilantro to taste, 1 1/2 Tbsp lime juice, and salt to taste), then this Mexican Hot Dog is for you! It’s a delicious twist on the traditional ketchup, mustard, and relish dog.
Southern Hot Dog
Instead of having your baked beans and cole slaw on the side of your hot dog, how about putting them on the bun next to it?! Seriously. Delicious! This is what I like to call a Southern Hot Dog. Make sure you grill the bun to help with the juiciness of the beans and slaw.
Western Hot Dog
Last, but not least, my favorite, the Western Hot Dog: BBQ Sauce, french fried onions, shredded cheddar cheese, and real bacon bits. OH MY! Grab some Ball Park Park’s Finest Hot Dogs, a fancy bun, and some of my “gourmet” toppings and enjoy!
